Hola!
Now
it is Sunday July 5th. We have been given the Green light
to go ahead
and cross the river to go home! Yah!!!!
Jesus
was able to drive the SUV thru the rushing water of the river to get
onto the Mountains. No bridge here. We were literally going into the
water here. It's a roller coaster ride thru the rushing waters! No
life preserve jackets needed -maybe seatbelts needed at this moment.
This is only way going up and down the mountain is thru the river.
Now you all understand why we had to wait for the river to recede in
order for the car to cross over…
We
are almost to the another side of the river.
Yah!!
We made it thru the river!! Now it's all uphill driving-straight up
to the Mountain. At first we got stuck, sliding all over the place on
this first leg of the road due to the mud and slippery rocks. The car
was literally sliding sideways from left to right trying to get
uphill on the road. Another roller coaster ride!
We
made it out of slippery area of the road. Next few pics will be seen
going up the Mountains. Is this a trail or a dirt road? I'll let you
decide for yourselves as you see next few pictures.
Muddy!
Continues
uphill driving.
Lots
of rocks everywhere!
Pedro,
an elderly gentleman walking down the road. He will be adopting a
puppy
from Tammy and Jesus to become a guard dog for himself.
Is it
a trail or a dirt road?
Scenery
along the side of the road, heading upward.
Last
leg of the road before approaching homestead.
We
have finally come home! Yah! First house on your right of the picture
is “the Bodega” and other house on left side is house the Main
house (home).
Christopher
(younger son) is walking to the Main house.
Christian,
the oldest son, looking out of the window of the Bodega house.
Christian
just milked the cows this morning. Fresh milk! Very delicious!!!!
Look!
Green eggs and brown eggs. All from their chickens on the farm.
Cage
free chickens wandering around the bodega and main house.
Fresh
bananas and plantains from back yard. Very tasty!
Christian made
awesome banana chips! Fantastic Chips!!!
Monday
we made fruit smoothies with fresh papaya, cucumbers,
aloe juice,
aloe gel, yogurt, fresh milk, and sugar. Yummy!
Here
is a Mango tree between the Main house and the bodega.
Monday
I made homemade yogurts. I was nervous about bug bites so I
wore a
long sleeve shirt to prevent myself from bug bites.
Here
is the yogurts I made, now it will be set in this machine for 10
hours. Tomorrow it will be ready to eat and use in preparation in
meal planning.
It is
good to be home on the Mountains. It took me 3 days to get home.
Home sweet Home! End of days 4 and 5 of my journey of Costa Rica.
I
hope you are enjoying the pictures and comments attached to it.
More
to come daily journals...
